AB  - The article ­compares the illustration of the Ovide moralisé en prose, Paris, BnF fr.137; St. Petersburg, National Library, ms. F.v.XIV.1; London, BL, Royal 17.E.IV; Cambridge, Magdalene College, Old Library, F.4.34 and Pepys Collection, 2124, and the incunabula by Mansion (Bruges, 1484), and Vérard (Paris, 1493), especially the luxury copies London BL IC41148, and Paris, BnF vél.559, painted by Jacques de Besançon. The illustration is strongly related with the text and its allegorical meaning.
