AB  - The iconographic tradition of the six days of creation is exploited in the four manuscripts studied here: it provides a ­commentary on the textual functioning of the Ovide moralisé. From manuscript to manuscript, it is possible to observe the evolution of the ­work’s reception, from a religious reading to a poetic one, Prometheus and Orpheus supplanting the figure of the creator Logos. It amounts to a ­complete epistemological reversal of the models for thinking about creation in Ovide moralisé.
