AB  - The freezing process has an important place in the concerns of current research because of its role in language recognition systems. Starting from a review of studies of this phenomenon, we will try to explain these characteristics and clarify the prospects that the study of the freezing process offers for linguistic research generally. We will present the multilingual resource FixISS and tools derived from it. This resource, currently limited to adverbial sequences, contains more than 6,000 sequences associated with semantic, syntactic and morphological information.
