Abstract: This work examines the notions of truth and certainty in Spinoza’s thought, in order to understand the meaning and significance of his famous thesis “veritas norma sui et falsi est”. In this way, it shows that Spinoza’s theory of truth contains a coherent solution to the problem of certainty.
