Abstract: Women's theatre took off in the second half of the seventeenth century. The nine plays collected here pertain to each of the genres practised at the time. They are the work of Françoise Pascal, Mme de Villedieu, the sister of La Chapelle, Anne de La Roche-Guilhen, and Mme Deshoulières.
