Abstract: Following the previous contribution, three further questions are considered here : that of Ajax as the universal imagination incarnating greatness of spirit with more or less success ; that of Longin’s use of a purely pictorial kairos when privileging Ajax’s silence in Hell ; and, finally, that of aristocratic and warrior silence as the possible source and effect of greatness of spirit.
