- Abstract: In this interview with Andréas Pfersmann, Robert Menasse recalls the period between the end of the 1970s and the beginning of the 1980s when he studied philosophy and literature at the University of Vienna. For this Austrian novelist, Georg Lukács and his works have proved to be a major existential issue, and the deconstruction of the postmodern Zeitgeist that he attempts in his trilogy of novels owes much to the theories of the Hungarian thinker.
