Abstract: From late 1873 to early 1874, Nouveau and Rimbaud together copied texts that were given to Verlaine in Stuttgart and later published without authorization under the uncertain title of Illuminations and the sole name of Rimbaud. Our purpose in this article is to examine what the Stuttgart bulk of texts could possibly be made of.
