- Abstract: The incipit immediately begs the question of the ephemeral nature of sensation and the miracle of reminiscence. The narrator seeks to translate the sensations of the past by way of explanations revealing their hidden truth. Ambiguous verbal and adverbial processes link the account to the discourse. The author shows how Spanish and Catalan translators draw linguistic and stylistic equivalents from their own languages, and with what joy they have interpreted the wavering between instants of discourse and instants of narrative.
