Abstract: Racine's theatre is conceived of as a diabolical machine that crushes all those who enter it. Each play presents the drama of the human condition, which a tragic vision of the world sees defined by evil and pain. Two interconnected figures emerge from this tragic newcomer : fatality and amorous passion.
