Abstract: Denis Sanguin de Saint-Pavin (1595-1670), prelate and poet, did not seek to hide his sexual preferences, his irreligion, nor his physical disabilities, and this refusal to conform to the customs and attitudes of his time gives his poetry a strikingly modern quality. This is the first publication to bring all his work together.
