- Abstract: From the courtly lyric point of view which sets the tone for the French part of the Chypre manuscript, a poetic and musical collection composed in the first third of the fifteenth century, sensory mimesis plays a decisive role in the interpretation of the work when viewed in its totality. This contribution analyses the extent to which the sensorial data which transcribe the feelings of the speaker and give form to his memory support the “truth” of the text.
