    Paul Claudel et la Bohême
    . Dissonances et accord
  • Author: Vojtěch (Daniel)
  • Abstract: Miloš Marten, a poet and translator of Claudel, and Otakar Theer, a “modern” author, both discussed the style and reach of Claudel’s œuvre at length, and notably his theatre. One emphasised his Latin Catholicism, while the other focused on the mythical element. Both contributed to the introduction of his poetic thought into the Czech milieu, despite the attempts at disassociation palpable in their exchanges.
