Abstract: This contribution illuminates the link between Le Caron’s Dialogues and the principles of Pierre de La Ramée which reunites philosophy and eloquence. The poet-orator not only follows La Ramée’s principles so as to understand and embellish them, but excels in this exercise. He thus links invention with judgement, and brings several disciplines together in line with Ramism, philosophy, politics, and the right to eloquence.
