Parodies et extravagances du courtois Perceval et Don Quichotte
- Publication type: Article from a collective work
- Collective work: Parodies courtoises, parodies de la courtoisie
- Author: Suárez-Pascual (María-Pilar)
- Abstract: This work offers a reflection on the interaction between courtesy and parody, marked by Perceval, the hero of Chrétien de Troyes, and Don Quijote, an epigone of courtesy. The goal is to consider the role of parody in the construction of two heroes, at the beginning and at the end of what will be the thread this work: the emergence and dissolution of a heroic model rich and plural, based on the ideal synthesis that we identify with the basis of romantic courteous discourse.
