- Abstract: The Book of the Knight of the Tower for his daughters (1371–1372) is an educational treatise written by a father concerned about the welfare and a prospective good marriage of his daughters. However, it is difficult to match the didactic purpose of the book to its content, which sometimes does not seem to suit the child audience. The aim of this paper is to reflect on the function and on the use of parody in this text.
