Abstract: Does a consequential philosophical naturalism leave any room for emancipation ? If nature determines all phenomena in relation to strict laws, including servitude, any form of emancipation might seem impossible or against nature. Using the example of Spinoza, Pierre-François Moreau examines this problem and shows how we can conceive of a nature which leaves room for emancipation in terms of the transformation of individual and collective attitudes.
