- Abstract: As the majority of conceptual categories and analytical tools designed for the study of the supernatural have been conceived by narrative literature, dealing with the marvellous in scientific texts presents a certain number of challenges. This study examines these theoretical problems, revealing the specificities of the marvellous in the scholarly corpus in order to suggest solutions which will allow us to grasp the scientific marvellous of the Thésaurus informatisé des motifs merveilleux.
