- Abstract: Leprince de Beaumont systematically inserts information in discussions. This critical function of dialogue aims « to teach [girls] to think straight in order to live well ». This ambitious project gives the formation of the mind and the « practice » of reflection a central role. It is made possible by the claim that it is the transcription of a pedagogic experiment. By intermingling references to reality and fictional elements, Leprince de Beaumont drew up a manual for educating young women.
