- Abstract: Kebir portrays marginalized children who are dislocated and subject to affective and physical breakdowns. Victims with broken and deformed bodies, facing increasing weakness and mutilation, they meet characters with traumatized bodies who are always on the move. In and through their bodies, they experience all the stages of exile: displacement is at the root of the suffering body and also of a poetics of “body-names”, a reflection of a remembered, absent body, an annihilated, imaginary world.
