- Abstract: Since the 1980s, Hebrew literature has been translated more and more frequently in France. Yet theatre hardly features in this flux of translations. In this context, the case of Honokh Levin is exceptional: in fact, some ten works which group together his translated plays have been produced. If the importation of Hebrew literature is often linked to an interest in contemporary politics, the presence of Levin in France attests instead to a valorisation of the universal dimension of his œuvre.
