Abstract: Following a general introduction to the history of Turkish theatre, this article reconsiders its place on the international stage. To do so, examples of Turkish theatrical works translated and published in Western languages are identified while examples of plays staged in various Western countries are located with the help of their authors or the official sites of the respective institutions.
