- Abstract: Here, the theme of the return is treated neither sociologically nor historically but in its capacity as a rhythmic structure influenced by the interminable desire of a poet who dreams of going home. The connection between the emotional desire of the poet and the poetic structure of the text merits a deeper linguistic analysis of the poetry. In other words, is it possible to apprehend the return in the work of Arabic poets in purely structural or linguistic terms?
