- Abstract: Sitt Marie Rose recounts the kidnapping of Marie-Rose Boulos during the Lebanese war of 1975. For the kidnappers, the oppositions representative of reality are religious and ethnic. Sitt Marie-Rose enacts a substitution: praxis of the hunters reinforced by the return of the frustrated / praxis of the anti-hunters representing the impossible transformation. Thus, in the diegesis of Sitt Marie Rose, the ideology of the kidnappers is only the latest metamorphosis of an ancestral tribalism.
