Abstract: Between the Middle Ages and the seventeenth century, the discovery of new, non-European worlds overturned existing anthropological and metaphysical models as well as those considered legal by the Christian West. Between anthropology, history, literature, and law, this work analyses the representations of these juridical worlds.
