Abstract: Through the polyphonic theatrical œuvre of Dimitrius Dimtriadas, this article studies the delicate and complicated rapport between art and contemporary historicity in its different variations and versions. For other forty years, this œuvre has followed the socio-political evolutions in modern Greece, from the last decades of the twentieth century to the dawn of the new millennium.
