Abstract: The notion of interpolation is used widely in criticism, particularly in the field of philology, yet it has not in itself been the focus of sustained reflection until now. This volume, the product of two study days, aims to redress the balance and re-establish the concept, putting forward definitions and analyses which will allow its full scope and creative potential to be appreciated.
