Comment répondre à l’injustice raciale avec Rawls ? De la théorie idéale à la théorie non idéale… et retour

  • Publication type: Article from a collective work
  • Collective work:
Le Sens de la justice, une « utopie réaliste » ?
    . Rawls et ses critiques
  • Author: Bessone (Magali)
  • Abstract: Even if Rawls admits that racial injustice constitutes one of the most crucial political problems for democratic societies, his theory pays it scant attention. Magali Bessone addresses this paradox by returning to the distinction between ideal theory and non-ideal theory, which justifies this side-lining of racial inequality. This blind-spot makes us doubt the critical potential of the procedures which Rawls mobilises in order to found intuitions concerning justice objectively.
