• Abstract: Although Lemaire rejected the Trojan narratives written by medieval authors, Ann Moss showed that he may well have made use of the Ovide moralisé for his Illustrations de Gaule. As demonstrated in this article, two further medieval works played a role in the construction of the “roman de Pâris” included in the Illustrations: the fifth prose rewriting of the Roman de Troie and the Libro di Troiano.
