- Abstract: This study of macro- and micro-structural variants (text, peritext, gathering) from the Antoine Vérard’s incunabula (1485) of Giovanni Boccacio’s Decameron French translation by Laurent de Premierfait (1414) shows that the publisher has adapted this translation designed by an humanist for a seignorial audience to the horizon of expectations of a non seignorial audience concerned about means to share aristocratic culture of a past time.
