Abstract: This work interprets the history, archives, newspapers, and fictions published between 1789 and 1803, and shows how this corpus led to new literary forms. It reveals the traces of these narratives in the work of Mary Shelley, Honoré de Balzac, Charles Dickens, and Gustave Flaubert.
