- Publication type: Article from a collective work
- Collective work: La Revue des lettres modernes. La Violence dans l’œuvre de Samuel Beckett. Entre langage et corps
- Author: Lozier (Claire)
- Abstract: The violence of Molloy is clarified through the prism of Georges Bataille’s analysis in his account of the novel. The ideas considered : Molloy’s condition, the use made of language and communication – aspects for which Bataille offers elements of analysis and critical tools to understand the value of this problematic mode of relationship. If the recognition of the violence in human relationships confirms the two authors’ affinity, the conception they each hold reveals what distinguishes them.
