Abstract: This work is the result of a symposium held at the Georgetown University concerning “The Question of Evil: Literature, Ethics, Politics, and Comparative Religion”. It includes an interview with François Bizot which calls into question our approach to the “baddie” by affirming the humanity of the executioner.
