  • Publication type: Article from a collective work
  • Collective work:
  • Abstract: Tajon, the future bishop of Saragossa, made a journey to Rome in the middle of the seventh century, with the aim of procuring the works of Gregory the Great. This represents an important event for the reinforcement of the politico-religious identity of the Wisigoth kingdom in Spain. The letter-preface in which he relates his enterprise does not use realist narrative codes but is related to the pilgrimage account.
