- Abstract: The poems of Interrogation, published in 1917 by Drieu, translate his experiences of the front, and his ambiguous fascination with violence, into lyrical forms of “cris” close to Claudelian verse. But thought dominates sensibilit: the illusion of being a poet is coupled with the lyric illusion of warrior enthusiasm. Having become somewhat “suspect”, the collection is corrected by La Comédie de Charleroi.
