Abstract: The irreverent Complainte des Argotiers (1630) is an anonymous pamphlet which pastiches the Jargon ou Langage de l'Argot reformé (c. 1629). The present edition, with notes and commentary, includes additional material which illuminates this fascinating work : extracts from the original Jargon, a literature review, and a glossary.
