Abstract: This volume deals with the dialectic which governs the exchanges between amorous discourse and spiritual writing from the twelfth to the seventeenth centuries: it examines historic and poetic scenes over which the Unique holds sway, as well as the processes of amorous or religious (de)mythification that are at work.
