Abstract: Romantic culture, being higly reflexive, has become aware of its own plurality: it takes form within a relativistic space between the religious absolute and political tendencies. Authors studied: Mme de Staël, Gautier, Hugo, Nodier, Nerval, Flaubert, Stendhal, Mallarmé and followers of the school of Saint-Simon.
