Du traité de La Versification françoise (1671) au Dictionnaire de Rimes (1692) La doctrine poétique de Pierre Richelet
- Publication type: Article from a collective work

- Abstract: The Dictionnaire de rimes (1692) by Richelet was the fruit of a long-term project with his collaborators, including Frémont d’Ablancourt. The manual testifies to the practical problems associated with the new mode of classification it adopted. Yet numerous indications of lexicographic temptations and a hunger for rare words can also be detected, somewhat contradicting the image of Richelet as a purist or worldly theoretician of the art of verse.
