Abstract: Alexandre Hardy dominated the world of theatre in the first decades of the seventeenth century thanks to the abundance and quality of his output. It is now time to provide readers with a collection of his complete works. This is the first volume of the collection, and includes five tragedies, two tragicomedies, and a pastoral play.
