- Abstract: Andy Warhol’s only play Pork, which is nowadays almost totally unknown by performance histories, was a huge media and artistic event when it was created in London in the summer 1971, and therefore was abundantly photographed. This article intends to consider the production modes and spreading strategies of these pictures, which make Pork into a product of the entertainment business, a pop art work, a subcultural event, and a pornographic as well, much more than a theatrical performance.
