- Abstract: Ariane Mnouchkine’s film, Le Dernier Caravansérail, emphasizes a rhetoric that is more compatible to the screen viewer’s perspective. The production of this film confirms that the recording of a performance is no longer the invisible relay of the images from the stage. Filming theatre can be seen as a creative artefact when it transcends its practical function in documenting theatre.
