- Abstract: In 2010, two dance performances (Danses libres by François Chaignaud and Cecilia Bengolea ; Une semaine d’art en Avignon by Olivia Grandville) used film images reactivating freedom connecting with a utopian community. This concerns, in the first show, the interwar period ; in the second show, the late 1960s. By examining these freedom images with their context and their place in the history of performing arts, it’s the question of art and politics that arises.
