Abstract: This collection brings together fifteen contributions focusing on the literary representation of slavery in Francophone works of the twentieth and twenty-first century, covering the Arabic medieval period, Egypt, Indochina, and Mauritius, and depicting the slave trade in Africa and slavery in the Antilles.
