• Abstract: This study focuses on the immediate publishing context of Éric Chevillard’s œuvre, in other words, the modalities of its reception in the literary field. Beginning with a selection of literary criticism and unpublished interviews with journalists, the study observes the place of Chevillard in the media, analyses the portrait of the artist constructed there, and identifies the constants and limitations of journalistic discourse about him.
