- Abstract: The story of children lost and found in the 16th-18th centuries is useful for our current thinking about childhood. Hence the importance of the concept of the mythical child, that is to say, social representations of children and childhood at given moments in history. Furthermore, adult and baby should co-write together their own, specific, story – which means that a child that has been exposed/lost/found, even if an infant, is nonetheless able to narrate his/her life and narrate it to him/herself.
