  • Abstract: Chinese law owes its current shape to interactions between two movements, one deriving from Confucius and the school of legists, and the other resulting from a “modernisation” at work since the beginning of the twentieth century. The legal system which emerges from this process is marked by a rarity of laws, in comparison with the situation in France, and a high level of plasticity. In this context, globalisation has brought remarkable benefits to China.
