- Abstract: The Vues patriotiques sur l’éducation du peuple by Philipon de La Madelaine (1783) can be considered as an exemplary model of educational reflections produced in this particularly productive period in this field: the decades that preceded the Revolution. This work is exemplary and original: there are only a few treaties about the destiny of the common people before 1789. It announces the reflections to be done and the questions to resolve in the future.
