- Abstract: This article does not examine the rupture which seems inherent in fragmentary writings so much as the hidden coherence of these writings, visible in the work of authors like Char, Cioran, Barthes, and Quignard. Is there a form of dialectic which operates not only within the fragment itself, but between fragments gathered together within the same book–or even, more broadly, amongst all writings by this type of writer? We will begin with the heated debates surrounding the writing of the camps.
