• Abstract: Whether the fable is inscribed in a vacillating French Fourth Republic or an America which has witnessed the towers fall, Les Huissiers and 11 septembre 2001 invite us to think about the incomplete as the site of meaning. Deliberately dislocated, the official discourse of politicians provokes in the viewer what Vinaver constructs as a programmed shaking. The fragment is propagated as a way of rethinking the dialectics of State lie/sincerity and State secret/visibility.
